The Our Time Foundation Programme

In 2013, the RCN Foundation funded a grant of £16,000 to The Our Time (formerly Kidstime) Foundation towards the Who Cares? programme that encourages schools to better support children in families in which a parent has a mental illness. Our Time has developed a school-based intervention to help these children. These children are often difficult for teachers and school staff to identify and effectively support. The ‘Who Cares?’ programme was designed with this in mind, in collaboration with teachers, young people and health professionals. The programme provides guidance and training for primary and secondary school staff and teachers, to raise awareness of parental mental illness and support those affected by it.
